A project in collaboration with Studio Cajou
The ‘Tête-à-Tête Chair’ was originally designed in the Victorian era as a means for individuals to discreetly court each other under the surveillance of their guardians, chaperones or the omniscient scrutiny of society. ZUVA re-envisions the Tête-à-Tête for the needs of a modern world. It intends to facilitate active conversation between individuals, and act as a setting that fosters healthy communication and deepened connections.
Programs Used: SketchUp and Enscape.
Our contemporary society has moved past the dated mentality from which it originates, and in an increasingly polarizing world, there is a growing responsibility for authentic dialogue. It aspires to be a safe space for individuals to gather and partake in intimate, sincere and profound conversation.
