for LAMP 2021 x DESIGN MILK competition

 

At the intersection of aesthetics and functionality, Caia doubles as an art installation and a sconce. Artistically, it marries the fluid forms of the shell with the rigid structure of its intersecting rods, just as the light’s glow is retained within the shell of the sconce. The user has additional control over the tone and atmosphere of their space through Caia’s dimming controls which range from visual silence, a gentle glow, to a full-blown radiance.
