MARCH MOCKUP

2024

March Mockup is a design challenge that I embarked on for the month of March, hosted by Stxrling Studio. Each week, we were presented with a mockup, and were tasked with ideating and designing bespoke pieces for the week's brief. The following images are the pieces that I had designed for the challenge.

Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop,  and Procreate.

Week One: Phone
I wanted to explore social media-based product advertising for this week’s challenge, focusing on themes of luminance and airiness.
Week Two: Album Cover
The piece I illustrated is based on one of my go-to songs: Hello, Anxiety by Phum Viphurit. The song touches on themes of anxiety and loneliness that plague us deep in the night, yet despite those fears and frustrations, those seasons of hopelessness will pass, and the sun will come out to shine once more!
Week Three: Book Cover
Taking inspiration from the incredible designer Saul Bass, I ventured to explore similar techniques and styles as I designed a cover for one of my favourite childhood series: The Famous Five by Enid Blyton.
Week Four: Product Packaging
For this week's challenge, I wanted to build off of the skin care brand that I had hypothesized in Week 1's project, and design the packaging of the product that was being advertised. It ended up being a fun exercise in brand exploration, and expanding the visual universe of Lumina Beauty Co.
Week Five: Tour Poster
This week’s brief was to do a tour poster, so decided to do one for The F16s while I *patiently* wait for them to come to
Canada.
Week Six: Wild Card
For the last challenge, we could design for any mockup we desired. And so, in the spirit of welcoming spring and good weather, my final piece in this series is for a seltzer brand, emphasizing notions of relaxation and refreshment!
